Wister girls get road victory over Porum

PORUM - The Wister Lady Widcats downed the Porum Lady Panthers 9-3 for a road win Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Wildcats (2-0), who saw their 4-0 lead get cut to 4-3 thanks to Porum’s three-run fourth inning, sealed the deal with a three-run fifth inning and single runs in the sixth and seventh innings.

For the game, Sage Anson was 3-for-6 with three doubles, Kourtney Donaho was 2-for-5 with two runs scored, Kate Hammons was 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored and Shaylinn Logan tripled and scored twice for the Lady ‘Cats. Anson (2-0) got the win, recording 11 strikeouts.
