Oglesby, Womack lead Howe past Atoka

KINGSTON—Jalei Oglesby and Sydnie Womack both had big games in leading Howe’s girls to an 81-49 win over Atoka in the opening game of the Kingston New Year’s Classic Thursday.

The Lady Lions, 11-1 and ranked second in 3A, advance to the semifinals against the Kingston/Tishomingo winner Friday at 7 p.m. Atoka drops to 4-4 and plays in the loser’s bracket Friday.

Oglesby scored 40 points and Womack added 22 in the win.

Howe led 36-25 before outscoring the Lady Cats 31-12 in the third quarter.
