Booths sought for Poteau Fourth of July event

Kid-friendly games needed

Booth space entries are being accepted for the Celebrate America July Fourth Celebration  of Poteau.

Sponsors are also being accepted. 

The celebration is July 4 at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Center. The Poteau Chamber of Commerce said it is "an event so that families of the community can come together in one place."

It is fully sponsored for families to enjoy water slides for children, street carnival games, face painting, bicycle prizes and live music, all for free. 

At dark, the city sponsors will hold a firework display.

The Chamber is searching for kid-friendly booths, such as street carnival games, bean bag toss, ring toss, cornhole, disk drop, fishing, guessing booth or face painting. Booths should provide prizes or candy. Booth space is free but not allowed to sell products or merchandise. Promotional material is acceptable. 

The application deadline is June 27. Set up with be 3-6 p.m. the Thursday before, July 3.
