Obituary for Tommy Dollens
HOWE--Thomas “Tommy” Isaac Dollens, 68, of Howe was born May 31, 1951, in California to Thomas J. and Dovie (Callaway) Dollens and passed away Sept. 9, 2019, in Howe.
Graveside service is Friday at 3 p.m. at Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister with Rev. Justin McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
Tommy was a long-time resident of the area and loved to fish and spend time with his family. He worked for Poteau Motor Company and retired from Monroe Public School as a custodian. , Surviving family members are, Debbie, of the home; two daughters Shanna Hall and husband Brad of Shady Point, and Amy Childress and husband Keith of Monroe; two sons Scott Dollens of Owasso and Thomas Dollens of Checotah; one sister, Phyllis Miller, of LaPalma, California; seven grandchildren Ashleigh Hall, Emily Brown and husband Cody, McKenzie Wiley, Haley Hall, Blake Hall, Kellie Scott and husband Michael, and Dillon Childress; eight great-grandchildren Axel Brown, Bradley Brown, Ali Brown, Sadie Brown, Cheznie Wiley, Hagan Wiley, Abbigail Scott and Karson Scott; other family members Randy Miller and wife Monique; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Dovie Dollens.
Honorary pallbearers are Brad Hall, Blake Hall, Sam McKenzie, Seth McKenzie, Keith Childress and Dillon Childress.
Viewing is Thursday from noon until 8 p.m. with the family visiting with friends from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
