Obituary for Elizabeth Goodier

HODGEN--Elizabeth Louise Goodier, 83, of Hodgen was born May 31, 1935 in Hontubby to Jackson and Augusta Ann (Janway) McCamish and passed away Nov. 12, 2018 in Heavener.

Elizabeth was a life-long resident of the area, a homemaker and a member of the Hontubby Baptist Church. She loved gardening, fishing and spending time with her family and friends. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Elizabeth will be deeply missed by many whom loved and knew her.

Surviving family members are a daughter Donna Huckaby and husband Clinton of Heavener; two sons Larry Davis and wife Barbara of Muskogee, and Ray Freeman and wife Tracey of Heavener; one sister, best friend and fishing buddy, Lillie Bell Tolbert, of Heavener; one sister-in-law, Thelma Weams, of Guthrie; six grandchildren Tammy Davis, Stephen Huckaby, Bryan Huckaby and wife Ashley, Lindsey Hackney and husband Chris, Crystal Ryan and husband Donavan, and Farron Crouch and husband Casey; 15 great-grandchildren Kayle Scott, Bryley and Brayson Huckaby, Meagan Pilkington, Garrett Huckaby, Mattison, Kyler, and  Kinsey Terry, Anleigh and Addie Hackney, Eli and Tate Crouch, Jesse Ryan, D.J. Davis and Braydon Davis; numerous loved ones and a host of many friends,

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale “Grouch” Goodier; one grandson, Jacob Freeman; one granddaughter, Wendy Davis; one great-grandson, Colton Ryan; two sisters, Opal Hardin and Dora Reed; and four brothers Baxter McCamish, Bill McCamish, Leslie McCamish and Jackie McCamish.

Funeral service is Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Hontubby Baptist Church with Bro. David Hardin and Bro. Joseph Bottoms officiating. Burial will follow in the Hontubby Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Pallbearers are Stephen Huckaby, Bryan Huckaby, Garrett Huckaby, Casey Crouch, Chris Hackney and Kyler Terry.

Viewing is Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
