Graveside services set for Roy Harmon

KEOTA—Graveside services for Roy Luther Harmon, 72, of Keota, are Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Services are under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro.

He was born July 4, 1947 to Harley Drew and Nellie Damer (Myers) Harmon in Poteau and passed away Nov. 16, 2019 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Surviving family members are his wife, Evelyn “Kathy” Harmon; two sons Samuel Luther Harmon and wife Misty of Alma, Arkansas, and Courtney McLennon “Cole” Harmon; four sisters Violet Ward of Mount Ida, Arkansas, Mary Savage and husband Troy of Palo Pinto, Texas, Linda Hamilton of Glenwood, Arkansas; three brothers Harold Wayne Harmon and wife Minnie of Greenwood, Arkansas, Steve Harmon of Mount Ida, Arkansas, and David Harmon and wife Frankie of Mount Ida, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Pauline Lowe and Carolyn Roberts; and brother Harley Andrew Harmon. 

He was a veteran of the United States Army during Vietnam, and a life member of the DAV.
