Howe’s boys and girls won their opening games in the Class 2A state tournaments Thursday to advance to Friday’s semifinals.
The Lions knocked off Cashion, 47-37, while Howe’s girls defeated LeFlore County foe Pocola, 56-47, to advance.
Howe’s boys play Dale at 8 p.m. in Yukon. Dale advanced with a 61-60 win over Morrison. The winner of Howe and Dale plays the Oklahoma Union/Wewoka winner Saturday for the championship at 4 p.m. in the Fairground Arena.
The Lady Lions face Latta Friday at 4 p.m. at the Fairground Arena. Latta won its opener over Amber-Pocassett, 56-34. The Howe/Latta winner will play the Dale/Silo winner for the championship Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Fairground Arena.
