POTEAU – LeFlore County commissioners on Monday declared a state of emergency in the county due to the recent blast of snow and sib-freezing temperatures.
Emergency Management Director Dennis Yochum said this is the first step in allowing businesses and individuals to apply for federal FEMA funds to help with damages.
The wintry blast caused widespread road damage and several water and power outages.
