The National Weather Service said the winter storm warning is still in effect through Monday at 6 p.m. for LeFlore County along with eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas.

Heavy snow is expected with up to eight inches possible and locally higher amounts possible. Wind chills as low as 20 to 25 below zero are expected by Monday morning.

Travel could become very dangerous. Blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility and wind chills as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
