Makayla Manley, 24, of Heavener, was born Oct. 29, 1996 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Rodney and Tonya (Pebsworth) Cheek and passed away Feb. 6, 2021 in Heavener.

Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday at the Heavener School Gymnasium with Bro. Johnny Montgomery, Bro. Sam Dyer and Corry Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Makayla was a 2015 graduate of Heavener High School, a member of the Heavener Trinity Baptist Church, and a Phlebotomist for the Choctaw Nation Healthcare Center in Talihina. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her “dogs.” Makayla also had a great time shopping for anything.

Surviving family members are her husband, Tyler Manley, of the home; her parents Rodney and Tonya Cheek of Heavener; two brothers Carson Cheek and Gannon Cheek both of Heavener; maternal grandmother Jeanne Mead and husband Bobby of Heavener; paternal grandparents Roger and Sandy Cheek of Heavener; mother and father-in-law Jerri and Danny Bob Harris of Heavener; one uncle, Clint Pebsworth, of Omaha, Nebraska; six cousins Lydia Pebsworth of Omaha, Nebraska, Haley Cheek and Riley Cheek, both of Sallisaw, Nick Hawkins of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Adriuana Harris and Olivia Harris, both of Sallisaw; numerous other loved one and a host of many friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jerry Pebsworth; maternal great grandmother, Doris Denton; one uncle, Craig Cheek; and one great-uncle, Stanley Tolbert.

Pallbearers are Carson Cheek, Gannon Cheek, Charlie Siler, Kolton Foster, Quinten McGee, Colt Callahan, Parker Olive and Scotty Baken. Honorary pallbearers are Lexi Moody, Haylie Burns, Hattie Humphrey, Elyssa McGee, Jolie Kannady, Jacie Russell, Katie Morgan, Mandy Watkins, and Cami Schiffner.

Viewing is 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday. The family will have visitation with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
