Obituary for Steve Huckaby

hUCKABYROSE HILL, Kan. – William “Steve” Huckaby, 69, of Rose Hill, Kansas, formerly of Heavener, passed away Friday, Dec. 25, 2020 and was born July 30, 1951 to Clayton and Eula Bea Huckaby in Heavener.

Funeral service was Jan. 2, 2021 at Roce Hill Recreation Commission with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

He retired from Boeing as a web analyst in 2010. He was currently the mayor of Rose Hill, serving three years to his community. Steve was always a positive influence and a rock to his family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, dad papa, and friend. Steve loved to have fun singing karaoke, fishing and camping.

Steve is survived by his wife of 48 years, Debbie Huckaby; children Jeremy (Rebekah) Huckaby, and Jennifer (Eric) Fleming; grandchildren Miranda Huckaby, Kaitlyn Huckaby, Jacob Huckaby, Kolton Huckaby, Andrew Huckaby, Kylie Huckaby and Brandon Huckaby; great-grandchildren Carson Huckaby, and Cambrie Huckaby; mother, Eula Bea Huckaby; siblings Rick (Susan) Huckaby, and Tony (Lori) Huckaby; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Huckaby; sister, Brenda Sue Huckaby
