Funeral service for Bill T. Queen, 85, of Heavener is 2 p.m. Monday at the Forrester Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Steelman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hontubby Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
He was born Feb. 25, 1935 in the Hontubby community to Vacher and Hester (McMahan) Queen and passed away Jan. 8, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Bill was a longtime resident of the area and a rancher. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association for 40 plus years and a member of the Forrester Baptist Church. Bill trained cutting horses where he had two champions, one mare and one stallion. Two of his horses he trained were sent to Russia. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bill will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving family members are two daughters Melinda Davis and husband Dwayne of Heavener, and Melissa Queen of the home; one brother Jerry Queen and wife Sue of Westville; three grandchildren Dustin Davis and wife Jessica, Tristen Davis and Dalton Davis; two special grandchildren Brandon and Corby Kirkland; two great grandchildren Averi and Parker; one nephew Joel Queen and wife Kristen; one niece, Leah Queen; other family members and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Cleo (Horsley) Queen.
Pallbearers are Dustin Davis, Tristen Davis, Dalton Davis, Joel Queen, Brandon Kirkland and Corby Kirkland.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made in honor of Bill to Gideon Bibles.
Viewing is from noon until 8 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. until noon Monday at the funeral home.
