County sets record for daily cases

LeFlore County set a record for new coronavirus cases in a day Saturday with 76 cases, easily breaking the prior record of 51 set on Nov. 25.

Poteau and Spiro both had 14 new cases, Heavener and Talihina had nine, Bokoshe and Pocola each had six, Howe and Wister had five, Shady Point had three, Arkoma and Panama each had two, while Cameron had one.

The county now has 339 active cases, up from 286 Friday. LeFlore County has had 2,897 cases, 2,536 recoveries and 28 deaths from complications due to the virus.
