Cassandra “Sandi” Smith

RED OAK – Cassandra “Sandi” Smith, 59, of Red Oak, was born March 25, 1961 in Poteau to Carrol and Virginia (Benefield) Shipman and passed away Dec. 4, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Memorial service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Freewill Baptist Church in Fanshawe with Bro. Don Benefield and Chaise Noah officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Sandi was a homemaker. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Sandi will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Smith, of the home; three sons Wayde Noah of Red Oak, Derrick Noah and wife Shaunda of Red Oak, and Rowdy Smith of Red Oak; one daughter LaRissa Allen and husband Bubba of Red Oak; one sister, Jeannie Shipman, of Red Oak; nine grandchildren Kelsey, Garrett, Chaise, Shaylee, Shandee, Brayden, Chance, Graciee and Landen; five great-grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew; her step-father, Gary Palmer, of Heavener; her step-mother, Terrie Shipman, of Wister; two special friends Linda and Derf of Red Oak; last but not least, her favorite of all her puppies, Si; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carrol and Virginia Shipman.
