The Heavener Lamplight Theater renovation project is holding a variety of fundraising activates in downtown Heavener starting at 11 a.m.
The Theater is located at 401 East First Street. All proceeds with the exception of the food truck shall go to restoration of the historic building. The activates shall include a food truck opening for service at 11 a.m., a live band donating their time to the theater project, an open mic for members of the group to share their voice, a live auction with items donated by businesses and individuals, a raffle assuring the mayor of Heavener will kiss a live piglet if raffle sales reach 100 tickets sold, and a drawing from the raffle sale for a wooden bench made of oak and cedar by a local person.
Should inclement weather take the street party indoors, the backup plan is to use the Heavener High School Performing Arts Center across from Heavener Elementary School. Everybody is encouraged to bring a chair and a mask and enjoy the actives. Should you have items you wish to donate including baked goods or pies, call Jody Contreras-Hill at (918) 721-7586.
