Billy Ray McClain, 87, of Heavener, was born March 13, 1933 in Heavener to Carl and Hazel (Thomas) McClain and passed away Sept. 10, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Funeral service is Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with Bro. Joe Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
Bill was a long-time resident of the area and a retired truck driver for Overland Transportation. He was a member of Coaldale Baptist Church. Bill loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones and friends.
Surviving family members are two daughters Karen McClain of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Gail Muse and husband Jason of Grants Pass; one step-daughter, Kristan Livingston, of Fort Worth, Texas; two step-sons Ronny Livingston and Kerry Livingston, both of Aledo, Texas; one sister, Christine Gregory, of Howe; one step-sister, Sammie Proctor, of Poteau; three brothers Jerry McClain of Vacaville, California, Ed McClain and wife Elea Mae of Coaldale, Arkansas, and Jack Paluse of Hermiston, Oregon; one sister-in-law, Lissie McClain of Heavener; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia McClain; one brother, Merle McClain; and one step-brother, Charles Paluso.
Pallbearers are Linn Terry, Lane Terry, Rodney McClain, Tim McClain, Scott McClain and David McClain.
