POTEAU – The 2020 fast pitch softball LeFlore County Tournament begins Monday with 12 of the 13 LeFlore County teams taking part.
Arkoma is not competing in the tournament this year.
Whitesboro is the top seed, Howe is second, Poteau comes in third and Pocola is the fourth seed. All four teams get a bye in the opening round.
The first games start at 4 p.m. at the PARC. No. 8 Wister plays No. 9 Spiro; No. 5 Panama goes against #12 Bokoshe; Sixth seed Heavener plays No. 11 Talihina; and seventh-seeded LeFlore goes against No. 10 Cameron.
The top seeds play at 6 p.m. Whitesboro plays the Wister-Spiro winner; Howe goes against the LeFlore and Cameron victor; Poteau pairs up with the Heavener-Talihina winner; and Pocola gets the Panama-Bokoshe winner.
The winner’s bracket games move to Poteau High School’s fields at Town Creek Park Tuesday. The loser’s bracket games will stay at the PARC through Tuesday before also moving to Poteau High School’s softball fields.
