A Poteau man became the 10th resident of LeFlore County to die from coronavirus, according to the latest report from the Oklahoma Department of Health.
The man was in the 65 or older group. No names were released. He becomes the second Poteau resident to die from the virus.
There were 11 new cases Friday with Heavener having four, Spiro and Wister two each, while Panama, Poteau and Talihina each had one case.
There are currently 166 active cases. There have been 753 cases, 577 recoveries and 10 deaths. The county was once again in the orange group on the Oklahoma state threat map.
