Pocola had two residents die from coronavirus, according to Thursday’s report by the Okahoma Department of Health.
The two deceased were a male and female, both over 65 years old. No names are released. The two are the first to die from the virus in Pocola and increases the county total to nine.
LeFlore County had 28 new cases Thursday with Spiro having 14. Heavener had four, Bokoshe, Howe and Poteau two each, while Arkoma, Pocola, Talihina and Wister each had one new case.
There are now 166 active cases in the county. Overall, LeFlore County has had 742 cases with 567 recoveries, the active cases and the nine deaths.
