POTEAU – Donald J. “Oscar” Sullivan, 76, of Poteau, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020. Don was born July 29, 1944 in Poteau to B.T. “Boss” and Vada (Wise) Sullivan.
Services are Saturday at 10 a.m. at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with Phil McGehee and Jim Cook officiating. Interment will be at Monroe Cemetery, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
He was an attorney for years; a member of the LeFlore County, Oklahoma and American Bar Association. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; son Thomas Sullivan and wife Andrea of Fayetteville, Arkansas; daughter Carrie Emberton and husband Aaron of Tahlequah; grandchildren Elizabeth and Ella Emberton; Piper and Graydon Sullivan; sister, Betty Joan Thompson, of Poteau; brothers Mike Sullivan and Jerry Sullivan of Poteau; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Sybil Sullivan Wagner.
The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. to visit with relatives and friends.
