HEAVENER – Louise Corbit, 76, of Heavener, was born Aug. 29, 1944 in Howe to Dean “Mutt” and Bessie (Williams) Oliver and passed away Aug. 31, 2020 in Waldron, Arkansas.
Funeral service is Friday at 10 a.m. at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sam Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in Howe Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
She was a life-long resident of the area, a member of the Heavener First Baptist Church, and a retired nurse, where she worked at Sparks Hospital for over 20 years. Louise was a loving sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving family members are three sisters Liz Hight and husband Fred of Heavener, Fairlene Swanson of Salina, Kansas and Bonnie Dehart of Heavener; one sister-in-law, Hilda Oliver, of Heavener; nine nieces and nephews Jennifer Yandell and husband Danny of Heavener, Eric Dehart and wife Andrea of Heavener, Adam Dehart and wife Niki of Heavener, Jimmy Hight and wife Kristi of Heavener, Freddy Hight of Rolla, Missouri, Greg Swanson of Abilene, Kansas, Brandy Hill of Heavener, Deanna Barber of Seattle, Washington, and Jamie Oliver and wife Jodi of Heavener; 25 great-nieces and nephews; seven great-great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Corbit; and a brother, Jimmy Dean Oliver.
Pallbearers are Eric Dehart, Adam Dehart, Danny Yandell, Jamie Oliver, Jimmy Hight and Freddy Hight.
Viewing is Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
