Coronavirus cases continue to increase

LeFlore County’s coronavirus cases continue to increase rapidly according to the latest report by the Oklahoma Department of Health.

The county had 42 new cases Friday, the second highest daily total. The high was 47 Wednesday. Poteau had 12 new cases, Talihina had 10, Spiro seven, Panama three, Arkoma, Heavener, Howe, Pocola and Shady Point all had two, while Bokoshe and Cameron each had one.

LeFlore County has had 210 new cases over the last seven days. Current active cases are 279, up eight from Thursday. The county has had 2,222 cases, 1,913 recoveries and 26 deaths from coronavirus or complications from the virus.
